Abolish tipping now! I so hate that restaurant management has me doing their job of evaluating their staff. Pay them a decent wage you lazy sacks of shite.
If I have an issue with my server, I’ll tell you about it and you can do your job.
And before anyone jumps down my throat about being a cheapskate, I tip well due to the current tipping regime. I understand the server’s not getting a decent wage and relies on tips. Been 20% for good service for some time now. I’m giving that to deliverers now, even though I’m guessing they’re already getting the app’s delivery fee.
Would love to hear a server admit they love tips and will be the main push-back against getting rid of this back-ass process. It’s a big financial loss, much of it tax free. How do I know? Two servers in the direct family, and a couple of friends over the years.
