ruthanne’s trailer issues – 2026-10-13

  1. need to torque the wheels before moving
  2. Also there’s one wheel nut, or wheel lug nut, that has a different outside diameter so you have to use two different wrenches, which would be a suck if you only had one wrench for the four others.
Same on driver-side; maybe is done as a simple anti-theft?
  3. the spare is a 16-inch tire. It rubs on something, probably the fender, so it’s too big to be a spare although it might work in a real emergency.
  4. pumped the passenger-side tire to 42psi (label sez 44, so we’re close); if it holds for a few days, no problem taking it to dump & back. However, if it is flat again (will check Saturday), then the 16″ spare must be replaced by her.

  5. The driver-side tire is low, ~15psi. MUST pump it up and then check it a day later. Pumped up to ~42psi,

  6. Lube the hitch mechanism with white lithium spray
