long story short: i want to look for evidence the alternator was not the source of the recent issues. see this chat for deets.
need 2 items to go deeper than a simple “check codes” with my cheeepy odb2 bt adapter 1(which i cannot fucking find!! it was in the car, no longer in port when recently did this work;). is blue);
- an sgw bypass cable; inserts in the 12-pin connector allows you dongle to talk to the can bus at a deeper level. 2but why can’t yu just plug your odb2 dongle direct to the 12-pin cable? does the system need to have the odb2 plug attached?

- software that understands the jeep/chrysler/? specific codes; jscan is free if no liscence purchased; 3requires license for the full ability to set stuff, but i will try it without liscsance for what i wan. i think
- an odb2 dongle that is known to be compatible this one(specifically sez jeep KL version?/model? is supported;) with the fuckery jeep does to the signals or code or both?
