here's my s.o.c. entry on how I make runny yolk sunny side up eggs
. { s.o.c. } try preheat on 4, then 3, eggs in, 1 min season & form, power off & cover (use plate to preheat it, which makes it classy…), 3 mins (for joan’s) or 3:30 (for mine); both lots of runny, maybe even too much?

here’s how gemini+ formats as a recipe:

Sunny Side Up Eggs on Toast

Equipment

  • Non-stick skillet with lid
  • Serving plate

Ingredients

  • Fresh eggs
  • Bread (for toast)
  • Seasoning (salt, pepper, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Skillet: Heat the skillet on setting 4, then drop to setting 3 1(note’: these are settings for Salton 1500W induction hob, 4=50% (get the pan hot, butter should be foamy, eggs should react some on entry; 3=34% for the 1 minute cook, should be low enough to not brown the bottom (unless that’s what you’re going for…)
  2. Add Eggs: Crack eggs into the skillet. Cook for 1 minute, shaping whites and adding seasoning.
  3. Off-Heat Steam: Turn the burner completely off. Cover the skillet with a lid (or place a plate on top to cover and preheat it2heated plates are fancy! be prepared to dry the plate though…).
  4. Resting Time:
    • Extra Runny (Joan’s): Rest covered for 3:00 minutes.
    • Standard Runny: Rest covered for 3:30 minutes.
  5. Serve: Serve over freshly toasted bread.
