we have mice in the house. got simple traps. here’s all my notes from my s.o.c. file on this campaign. in reverse cron order.

placed 3 traps (2 laundry, 1 bar), tootsie roll + pb on backside of flapper
— 2024-08-28 – Wednesday
mouse war – got 2 in laundry room; 1 in bar accidently tripped by me

mouse war – 1.5 days no mouse traps tripped
mouse war – set 3 traps (2 laundry, 1 bar), with tootsie rolls + a bit of pb on the back side; traps are getting harder to set, so easy to trip; tried to clean out the little cavitry where the hook goes into, ic case its been getting oily from the pb?
mouse war – add a bit of pb undersie of tripper with tootsie roll on it; this shouild attract them better after the tootsie rolls get stale

mouse problem – put 3 traps down with pb solidly on the cheese holder; one on floor under toaster stand, one in laundry room
next day, laundry room trap was tripped and cleaned of pb. are the mice smart enough to trip the trap but not get caught?
put 2 traps in laundry room; with cheese chunk s instead of pb
would be telling to put a camera watching traps, since this is the 4th time a trap has be tripped but no mouse (clean of pb, so def mouse around.
2 days later: got mouse in cheese trap in laundry room. notably, 80% of the cheese had been eaten, but he must have got greedy…

4 traps out, pb, well pushed onto paddle, 2 in laundry, 2 in bar under toaster stand
both traps in the laundry room got a mouse; both traps in the bar area were stripped, no mouse

4 traps set with pb, 1 in bar area, 3 in laundry room.
— 2024-07-14 – Sunday
mouse problem – a few months back , perhaps april, a mouse was found dead in a bucket i had in the laundry sink; must have dropped into bucket and then drawned in wash water?
so buy 4x old-school spring traps, set them weith pb over furance ducting in laundry and cave.
no bites after 2 months; maybe gone? on retiurning from texas, j noticed mouse poop in drawers under bar; soi got 4 old school spring traps
put pb in drwaers floor; sure enough, got one dead mouse; left ofther trap; added 1st trap, so 2 out
but mouse is smart or very careful or i don’t have these set senstive enough, since both are empoty of pb and mice.
joan bought some sort of poison food trtaps; set one in drawer floor where mouse #2 died, next day seems there is disturbancer of food, and no more for th e next week
saw a mouse run from bar toaster table to behind wood chest with linen in
last night i heard some sort of scrtaching while lieing in bed, seems to be coming from above where joan’s side tabloe is
todaty there was found a mouse in a recycle tub with small plastics in cave. alive. let him go at the back of the garden outside. best of luck.
