roku labels their wifi streaming devices as “Long range WiFi” (2.4GHz) or “Fast Wifi” (5GHz). I find this dumb. although it is true that using 5Ghz means lower range. My experience is 2.4GHz, while technically capable of speeds sufficnet for up to 4K, is so over-used and polluted and affected by microwave ovens, etc, it’s best to use the 5GHz range (or just wire the thing!) Except only the “Ultra” has an Ethernet port… And of course the info for this will be on the box, but it should be on the front in the most commonly used terms (2.4GHz and 5GHz). And don’t get me started on the 5GHz (WiFi) vs. 5G (cellular wireless), two totally different things.
