it broke in the tip-over incident that burned my right hand. tried ca glue (fail!); was going to use sugru, but it[‘s too expensuive to open unles I have a number of things to do. how ’bout epoxy putty?
Epoxy putty is cheaper than Sugru. 
Prep the surface (clean with isop, scratch surface with knife)…
