here’s a perfect example of how the phone can be used to make task lists; this is our bar sink’s dish draining rack; very handy. but it has two problems that lead to water sitting and becoming stale, possibly probably growing mold, etc.:
- the bottom is flat and flush to the counter, so water will sit underneath.
- water drains into the tray and must be emptied every use or so.
Both of these problems means much wiping and raining is required. But this should be automagic.
To solve these problems, I will:
- add feet, re-using pop bottle caps, glued or possibly riveted (but then rust?) to the bottom
- add a drain, possible a tube that can drain into the sink? possibly a wick-like material (thin rope or cloth?) to drain into sink by capillary action? will need to trim the feet to ensure a slight tilt towards the back left corner, or maybe front corner?.
here’s the picture I took to remind me of this:

this is one of these little tasks that needs to be done, but is so minor it’s easily forgotten. By taking a picture (a few seconds), I am assured it will bne seen again, and the picture can be used as the necessary documentation to get it done.
