Lockdown? What lockdown?

We were never in a lockdown.  Even 14-day quarantines were very soft; my mom & Larry had to quarantine (and they did, per my mother) after returning from Florida in early-mid-April; completely on their own recognizance, at penalty of a fine (I think); need to ask mom for certain.

“Lockdown” is likely? what China did.  When your building|block|neighbourhood|city|province was locked down, you did not leave the house.  I recall seeing videos on the ‘chans, unverified as usual, of aparmtnet doors being welded or barred shut.

At no time was anyone in Canada or the USA in such a lockdown.  There was never a time where we couldn’t go out to get essentials.  There was no official “stay at home”, no outsies lockdown.  Region traval was discourged.  Locals might tell you to get lost, and I’m sure the occassional hand-panted sign could be found.

And now we have pandemic fatigue?

Or am I wrong?
