yes I can spell, yes I care about grammar and formatting. But when I write a thing initially, it’s a mess. or it could be from a voice transcript. at some poiosnt I realized it’s fr better to get the wordws down on paper, into a voice recording, into the s.o.c file, etc. cleanup, spelling corrections, edit for length can come later. get it down first as fast and raw as possible.

during a trip to install a machine in Bahrain (used 60×60) at ?????, Lawrie took me to Saudi Arabia for 3 days to support him on a few sales calls. While there we were invited to MT’s place for supper1true to Mulsim practice, only met the males of the family (sons, bother? etc; could easily hear MT’s wife and assorted female family member in the kitchen preparing a feast for us… but never saw or communicated with them. Lawrie said to wait until we got to the car to leave, at which time Mt called his wife and let us thank her and& for the wonderful meal.. Lawrie had schemed with MT to prank me, something about how I was an avowed atheist and general ly “science” based. they wanted to humble me. I forget the exact setup something about a magic trick I would perform with this magic bowl on the table in front of me. there is something in it, but I forget what. the trick or the magic had something to do with me holding the bowl, making some motions with it (“hold it by the edges, pick it up, clockwise circle, put it down”, etc.). and then somehow I was made to touch my face (for reasons that I can’t recall) in various spats, again from instructions from MT. unknow to me is the bottom of the small steel bowl was covered in black soot from a candle, and all the instructions and magic motions were to get me to get the soot on my fingers and then only my face.

as can be seen from these pics, I fell for it, hook, line, and sinker.

How do I know this was 2004-04-12?

since this is a .jpg (the one and only graphics format we need…), the camera wrote some metadata into the EXIF fields; here’s the date/time info:

these images were taken by my Canon PowerShot A60. The time is likely off by 7-8hrs due to being set in Peterborough; it was an evening meal, 8pm or so SA time; camera shows 1pm, so correct for Peterborough when 8pm in SA.

Sadly, this predates the phone camera with built-in gps, so there are no GPS coords in the pics.
