cool! i fired ~6 of these while being an army guy. 5 on the range (had a misfire due to not pulling the back out hard enough, something didn’t lock), and once in a live-fire at gagetown. for the record, I hit the target (an old car, much blowed up already).

looks like an error at the gov’t’s website; those 105mm carts aren’t gonna fit the M72…

now i gotta tell someone… 😔

I sent the following email to the “Email us” link on this page; got the got it response

:

Hi!

I have found and error on this page:
https://www.canada.ca/en/army/services/equipment/weapons/m72-law.html

Specifically on the “Ammo” tab… the M72 can’t fit or fire a 105mm cartridge. Wikipedia sez it’s a 66mm anti-tank weapon.
Why do I care?

1. One less error on the Internet!
2. I fired 6 of these back in the ’80s as an infantryman (2RCR, CFB Gagetown); 4 on the range, 2 in live fire exercises. Whoop!

Cheers!

PS: Not sure if this is the right email, but couldn’t find a “Fix an error…” link.

let’s see if they fix it, or if I get any response…
