a basefilename is the preix i will give to all files related to this. instead of forwever trying my file foilders to arrange things, the files are linked by this filename which
this does require some discipline. you must name filles with tmeaniful filename, in a tag-like system with they datetimestamp in the filename (for reasons).
i have been moving files out of Downloads as I finish with them (eg after making a blog bposts, all the pics are moved to remove clutter& perfocmance problems (i’m looking at you, Irfanview!)
