had this conversaion with gemini+ on the crash of 2 F-18 “Growler” aircraft. good that the pilots survived. learned that normally if either seat ejects, both are going. and the system uses a detcord-like linear explosive; whcih recalled my army guy (helmets on!) experience wathing engineers aka sappers blow lines of fire by running detcord around the trees to be taken out, one boom and done. which also reminds me of the shaping C4 plastic explosives into Mr. Hand and Mr. Bill.
