was think there are two remaining upgrades for balrog. 32 > 64GB? reuires swapping out all 4 dimms for 16GB x 4 = 64GB. this is max motherboard supports. can’t do 48GB, since breaks a matching rule. so ~$700. ouch.
the rtx4060 at $435 is the better move. and no sense going higher, since mtotherboard isn’t fst enpouugh for the modern gpus. rtx4060 is pretty much max.
that ram was less than half that price ~6months ago when i first considered it. according to camelcamelcamel.com, huge rise in ram price is real.
