the solution for the differing volumes at the tv room projector/roku/5.1 sony recr is NOT SOLVABLE BY THE RECIEVER!!! the major complaint i have is the youtube must be ~18-22, whereas plex on roku ultra wired is ~32. not sure what netflix or amazon prime need adjusting. likely thay are pretty staandardized acorss their content. but youtube is just too varioable.

for the window11 clipboard history, or any clipboard history, i want to be able to paste the last N clips in REVERSE ORDER!

xyplorer - when i edit or change date maidifed of a file, and am in newest at top sorting, the file now newesst jumpts to the top, and the view of the files moves to top to follow the newly modified file to the top. but if i am 1000 files down looking at something 4 weeks old, and if i set it's modified to now or otherise edit the file (commonly open a screen snip, see if there is something important (otherwise why would i open it?), anmd iusually crtop to the view of note. or even markup with crude irfanc view tools 9essentially paoint), the view going back to the top to keep the new file in view, i lose whrere i was and now have to scroll scroll to find it.
i sometimes set modified date to float the file to the top, as a "hey, let's do this, or if notihing else, it's put back into my mind for sconsdieration for doping the next step.

i think the isue where mqny screen windows end up on my #2 momnitor, which is pretty low res and reuslts in very squished windows. and i have to drag a few dozen over the and need to be on screen 1. and resized
i usta thought it was random or something to do with how the video card or pc saw the monitors dissapear as i press each button.
but it's the windows that are minimized that are shuffling off to monitor 2.

one thing on adding the date (and time!) to the filename... I consider this mandatory, since you cannot rely on the file metadata timestamps. Especially when moving from one OS to another. And I use yyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ss to prevent filename collisions.

so my notebooklm source for voice recordings looks a little simple, from the voice recor i can share transcript with one or 2 taps (hb menu, share, to nblm > press "google voice recordings" still too fucking much, since i already have it syncing to gooel docs or drive?),

probs due to plex doing all the dirs under ../music, whereas mediamonkey doesn't inclde the "work" or "temp" dirs under there... need-work, new rips, etc.
if would be nice if i could tell the plex scaanner to NOT scan these.. and easy way would be to respct a file named .plex-no-scan or .no-scan (the latter is for any scanning, and the plex_ prefix would be ignored by every scanner except plex.
this is also an idea i had for scanning tv and moves dirs... sometimes i want to ignore certain media dirs, and a .no-scan file method is hand af.

getting an error when usign photo sync to xfer to nas2. gives a "can't rename .file to file" error; if I don't press cancel, it goes ahead with all the files xfer, buts some are couurrupt (some empty, some show some content but the chopped off)),
maybe due to large .mp4? - nope, happened if i delete that .mp4
there is a odd file in the phone's dcim/camera: ".trashed-1768180700-PXL_20251213_011624887.jpg"; it is a vaild .jopg, one that i deleted in the phone gallery.
was able to get files by connecting via usb-c and using fe to copoy. copy works, all files look good at copy
tried again, same error. some files corrupted.

so i carefule mark 60 files, tap tap , then scroll list upwarss, tap tap, then scroll downwards, tap, get them all?review by swipe up, swipe up, all good, BUT if i accidently scroll to tje top and then swipe down again, refresh AND ALL THE CAREFULLY selected files are unmarked. yes, i should not do that! but... pro[se if at screen top then swipe down, before refresh,if there are any marked files, pop a "of to refresh?" or maybe refresh by don't uncheck? ask in same dialog (Refresh & clear? or "Refresh and keep marked?"

xyplorer - when trying to run my fix-downloads. script, when i alt-1 there is a cmd shell wind frame drawn, no black backgroud, transparent where the contents should be, then hangs, can't kill with alt-f4, or windows x, but can by rclick in taskbar and press x. likey killable in task manager.

i here by delcare all performace graphs should have a button for "Auto scale" button, OFF by default. The max value of the data being graphed is at the max of the Y axis. 100% performance = top of graph. This allows a quick glance at the graph to know the relative use of the resource being graphed. The Autoscale option
as a ui element, a selectable button as a slider on the Y axis ; unselected=locked, select and it can be dragged to the scale max desired. if too diff to make a slectable butoon on a vertical s lider, make a button at top of slider and enable / lock slider per button set.

seems liimmited to when there are files selected in the tab on which is focused when ctrl-T is pressed. the resulting tab will have the sort order oldest at top, and one of the files that were selected in the originating tab is selected in this new tab
further: if NO file is selected in the originating tab, but there is a search dynamic thing (in my case I wanted to focuse on the issues and my mom's new appartment, so i have a dyn filer "mom", so only file with "mom" in tham are listed.; with no file selected, ctrl-t make a tab with sort=oldest at top, no file selected.; if I select a file (of the filtered ones), cvtrl-t make a tab with sort===oldest at top and the file that was selected in the originating tab is selectrred, which could be a ways down the list. with no filert or selected file?; so turns out the behiour is the same, but i want to say "on ctrl-t, always create a tab sorted newest at top. maybe exists in the massive # of options?

chrome tabs problem - if i have 3 youtube vedios , all paused, then multi-select all the tab and drag them (as tabs, not sure it happens when a group colloapsed), onto another window (to add all 3 tabs to that window), they all start p latying. i have to go to each tab or use the 'whats katying dripe down. this is very aweful, esp when drop 15 paused tabs....

xyplorer - i think theree is a crash when i select a .docx file (i don't have word or office installed, so not what the handler is for these (probs in registry?), get a .net framework error dialog, and one after with thre file ..\blah.docx. but after closinging both, can see the .docx preview (i thinjk it's a google doc)
and after this, can't get a preview for .pdf files (tested 4, all valide, 2 small, 2 large. no better.

in irfanview, thumbnails, would be nice to have a "touch" toset the modified datestamp to now. this would halp my workflow, as i browes doen a long list of pics, i see ones i want to work on. since it sort file exploere date newest at top, this pushes things i wont to work on now to the top. doesn't garuntee thaty'll get working on tright now, but this really helps.
might be able to do with a "open with external editor?" simle .cmd to run 'touch' or a powershell script that does the date setting. but will irfanview send all the elescted as a sliust of filenames, what is max#?

so the steps:
in soc file, find entries <1month ago; search 2025-10-31, finds
seelect from that line to the bottom, cut
note the last datestamp for use in filenames
create a new rtf file , open in wordpad, paste, save using good filenamw.
to creat asomehting nblm will digest (rtl not supported, nor the graphics i think), save as , Text .txt, save
insert this new soc snippet to the notebook nblm "cedrics stream of conciousness"

i want to make a simple web-based appliation to manage my simple "beers i have drank" database. i have an .sql file with the database as iit is now.
