mom needs a deflector for air register so drapes don’t wiggle and get stuck in ugly positions…

the air output register in Mom’s new apartment blows across the top of the vertical blinds, causing them to jostle and get stuck on the bottom and become misaligned.

this would drive me nuts (all those vertical lines not quite parallel, and the gaps!) and look at the disapproval from SugarRoo!):

was thinking to fab up a simple cardboard deflector, or maybe nicer (foam board? plastic?). but…
here’s one that should work. might need to add extra magnets, but i have that covered. we use one of these for the register above our seat in the downstairs tv room… without it cold air drops right on my head.
99% sure the rigister on her wall is the 6″x10″ (only seems to be 2 sizes avail, and it’s the larger one); the 6″ is the size of the hole, so there’s likely ~1/2″ flanges on each side; collapsed down to 7″ min should put the magnets right on those flanges.

so, buy the ~$15 item on the left.
