pretty complicated compared to the web-belt-with-suspenders we had back in ’84. I don’t think it even had a name or acronym (well… given it was army, likely did. EVERYTHING had an acronym!) not sure if we had any plate armor carriers… i never experienced combat, so maybe would have been issued some, but I know for sure I never wore any.
