measurer diameter of hitch pin (likely 5/8″)
test that scooter can drive up/down ramp
locking hitch pin ($22 from princess awful, $35 from amazon.ca, etc.) 
washers between the parts at the piot point
chain each of the pins & clips (see pics 1, 2, 3)
ratchet straps & bungies (we have many, but need to ensure in good shape)
tarp?
bike lock
something joan mentioned?
