i was reading a fark.com post about a woman using the “banana trick”
swapping the bar-code stickers from bananas, or making ones own?, onto more expensive products
to steal ~80$ of groceries from a Walmart self-checkout. of course the submitter made it into a sexual inuendo, as one does on Fark.
someone in the comments posted the wage theft is biggest when compared to burglaries, robberies, or larcenies:
which lead me to wonder what the diff is between these terms is. instead of going to Wikipedia or a dictionary site, or just Googling the three terms (larceny, burglary, robbery),
which i did anyway, which usually gets me the definitions on the first result, but occasionally requires a click or two to get the definition; like the result for robbery somehow are focused on alocal robberies, whereas the results for the other two terms is pperfect; probably a better way would be to use context menu search to a dictionairy site (larceny, burglary, robbery)
