the donair kits we get from Giant Tiger (maybe FreshCo?) are pretty good, since some donair is better than no donair. the meat is good, easy to prepare (microwave 1.5mins, then air fry or pan fry to get some crispy bits); sauce is very good, and enough, could be more, but i like a wetter donair.
the weak link is the pita bread; is enclosed in a good asealed bag shrink wrap, but usually tough and=a litte stale. not offensively so, but enough to notice.
solution: see if whereevs we get the kit can get us some meat and sauce. Sauce is avail from Amazon.ca
for pita, buy fresher softer ones from most grocery stores. or make my own; Chef John has a good video, cast iron pan).
