Researchers have used a new cathode material for all-solid-state fluoride-ion batteries (FIBs) that provides double the capacity of typical lithium-ion cathodes.

hopefully they figure out how to get more charges than “dozens”.

This gives it three times the capacity per volume and twice the capacity per weight of lithium-ion batteries. It is also said to be durable enough to withstand dozens of charge/discharge cycles.
