Some of Donald Trump allies have mused about him serving a third term in office, but the Constitution explicitly prohibits it.
Source: Just to Be Clear, No, Trump Can’t Be Elected President Again

“To be clear, we could walk down some technical rabbit holes to get to a possible third term for Trump. The 22nd Amendment mentions only that someone cannot be elected more than twice to the office of the presidency. What if Trump is J.D. Vance’s vice president on the 2028 ticket and then Vance resigns? Or if Trump is elected speaker of the House in 2029 (a position that doesn’t need to be filled by an actual member of the House) and becomes second in line for the presidency and then both the president and vice president resign? Scenarios like these have received the attention of scholars of the 22nd Amendment. Does the Constitution’s use of the word “elect” mean these other routes are possible, or do we hew to the clear spirit of the provision by prohibiting someone from serving more than two terms, no matter the path taken?”
meta: aabove is the text i wanted to quest via c/p. another way to do this is to screen snip and then paste that in here;

this scnreen snip is perhaps better, since it shows the articel in the original form, to add some veritas? could be more so if I took a full screen or otherwide include the title/date/other context that shows the story was real, in a oarticalur time & publication. whereas the text i c/p above could just be typed in by me. it is eaiely done here since I can insert a in mage block and then just paste (usually from the multi-clipboarfrd) into the image blockl; this means i dont have to deal iwth a file ; if it beomes a file i need otm aker it proper format and then upload,wh ihch makes it; drawback is the text in the image is not searchable, whereas the c/p verion is plain text and can be search eda dn indexed, etc. agina with the hwiol.e text/graphic dichotomy we still face.
