my keyboard must-haves non-negotiables (why yes! I have watched The Bear! [expand]… and I highly recommend it, as long as you don’t mind a lot of yelling and swearing. a must-wach for food likers and cooks and wannabe cooks.[/expand]
75% layout leaves out too many important keys. no PRNT-SCRN (fatal!), INS (makes paste by SHIFT-INS impossible), no END,
maybe try 95% next time?
dedicated INS and PRT SCRN in the proper place
wired – keyboard too important for pc that I don’t trust, with good rreason, wireless keyboards. might try again in 5 years maybe wireless keyboards will nbe tolerable then
media contros, at least mute/up/down volume – must be able to kill volume out of pc no matter what is playing; must be a dedicated key, prereably above the right side (since trackball is on right side, my hand it almost always at right side)
flattish keykaps – i want keycaps that don’t have a pronouced “corner”;
noisy af – i want my old Northgate Omnikey 102, with og mechanical switchers. or an original ibm
well, until I looked up ebay stock… ibm keyboards…
