big network boo-boo! i had DHCP server (on ROUTER-1) setting leases times <1min on many devices

while doing someo ther work (adding ROKU device and generally cleaning up after klatherine moved to texas), i noticed some leaee times were set really low, for instance, washer aqnd dryer are set to 10, which i think is 10 seconds, a rediculoiusly short time; matter of fact, i thionk the dhcp server is giiviong them 2 minute leases (likely due to seeing requist for 10 seconds and defaulting to a reason ablew value; i see suspect this since the time re,maining never goes >2 mins, then resets to ~2 mins; this is as dhcp expects, request release or new leaae at halfway point of lease time. theis unneccessary loads is probabs insignif, but might as well fix. not sure how this got this way… pretty sure i never use such a small vlue, typicall using 3600 (1 hour) or 1440 (4 hours); regardless, fixed now, using 6h (6 hours) as the default. maybe change the dfault for invalid time requests?

will =be interesting if this solves any problems, but thne, not sure i’m havng any prboblems!

there is a setting dhcp that suggests 12h is mentioned

there is stuff in /lib/netifd/dhcpd.script, but notthing obvious, would take too long to decipher.

the config for openwrt is terminal accisslbe (putty, etc); aqctive cpoinfigurtation is in /etc/config; need a post about this. here.
