lost the little plastic spool that hold the roll of tape in my desktop tape dispenser; it is one of the best things i have, but is absolutely useless without the spool holding the tape roll; the spool is in the room cave somewhere, but no amount of looking has turned it up; so must make a replacement. fred flinstone quality. used my drill press as a poor man’s lathe, reduced a pc of 1.5″ wood dowel to fit; pc of discarded (but kept just for this sort of thing!!) coat hanger wire as the spindle for the spool (could be 2x diameter, but works. it’s not a freaking bearing.
