Asking for advice about “re-wilding” part of the backyard, with help from Gemini+

I want to re-wild the lower part of the backyard; just stop mowing and see what grows. Joan is worried it won’t look good. So I thought I would seek advice and (hopefully) pics of other locals that have done this. Post will be to Reddit’s /r/peterborough subreddit:

Step 1 – the moment I had the above idea, I switched to my always open s.o.c. file and bashed in the following:
