why doesn’t text smsm chat apps shouw an obvious “these messages are news and unseen” like thunderbird does? or the read line in BoingBoingBBS message list.
I think fading out the already seen messages would be best, still there to read, but obvous that they’re not new. unread. difficulty: how does the chat/sms/texting app know where youi last read to. perhaps allow me to long press on the space between messages and “set last read here”?
