a neat part of this one is the controller knows the position of the pedals,m so it can make gear changes as the pedals are verticle and input pedal torque is loeast. at 60rpm cadence, this happens 120/sec, so the slight delay will likely be unnoticel. t alsop hjas some automatic features like shifting to you preferred satarting ear when you come to a stop, avoiding the need to downshift yourself, which can be diff in quick stops, leading to struggles to get srtart as you push hard while trying to get to lowerer starting gear, or soing the hwiole lift the back wheel up and shift while stopped, which suicks.
