the m113 was later avbailable with a rubber track. canada converted some if not all to this. likely say a couple tons, maybe a lot easy on maintenance, and must be easier to work on than the deift?? track we used in ’84 on my 21B m113.
i could proably write 12 different small articles on m113 experiencesd; paint chips in the deisel, doing regular daily weekly month and stuff like oil changes, checking the fluids, tightending tose 4(8)x2 3/16″? bots on the differencves differential output to front drive wheel gearbox input. these were forever coming loose, but we didn’t use locktite correclty? pretty sure they were aluminum, but bolt and u-joiunt(nut with int thread) never stayed tight. they also (ususually ) had some sort of fancy nylock? washers, two of them with rigeged faces. and if one of these ujoints coame off, boom, no control of steering, garunetted hard turn to the one side or otherm, depening on if the track locked up or when loosefreewheel. with no connection t the track, ytou could not touch the tiller bar or brake as this would just make you turn toward the good track side as it slows; but with the freewheeling side freewheeliong (as it does), the would likey steer turn to the good side track, slowly, but all depending on veslocit, teackiot, power applied, frciton n the sdrivr and track mechanisms, so you would coast to a stop,m likely off the road if you were doing any speed.

holey-o-fuck i was able to swtcih from soundbar to boseqc3.5v2 headphone s without crashing anything; a chalk duust torture reprise -> something -> chalk dust torure was starting and i sonded like a killer; it was. so using the web page player i was able to pause, select a nother channel, switch the headphoines orr thff soundbar, then restart the one zi wanted; sinece web player will try (and usually is able to ) start the song at the beginning when tuning to a nrew channel, and it worked.
