Provinces own the mineral rights; they make money by collecting royalties on the uise of that land that resource. and taxes on business, and taxes on employment wages.
But Mr. Trudeau is also burdened by a family legacy that continues to arouse ire in Alberta. Als, what’s the historical balance of funds to/from Alberta? A quick look here suggests always federal -> provincial. But what do provinces contribute? need to find graph of all provinces, sum of transfers both ways.
