I was annoyed by the use of “Telegram says”, so I I angrily wrote the following:
“NOOOOO! “Telegram” is not a thing with an opinion. it’s like saying “the info comes from Bell Canada” if the peice is via telephone.
Lots of people use Telegram, Twitters, Instagram, etc. Good people. Bad people. Old and young. For many different reasons, again good and bad. There are people posting dick pics, love letters, riot plans, and a whole lot more all right now.
Saying the message comes “from Telegram” or “Twitter thinks” is saying those media are having that opionion. Certainly people, or a group of people, are having those opinions and are thinking those thought. The media is just the material, the pain & ink, the press, the digital web, the social media.
TO-DO: Perhaps there is some Mcluhan to be read?:”
