Respiratory illnesses are running rampant among children, resulting in hospital visits and admissions at far higher rates than normal for this time of year, according to fresh data from hospitals across Ontario.
seems to me that as long as hospitals are not overwhelmed (almost are as of now, but what happpens in next moth or 2?), and as long as these illnesses (c19, flu, rsv)are very low death or bnad results, then this is OK. perhaps these kids will catch up immune system-wise this year and maybe next.
but as always, won’t know for a few monht.
seems to me it might be worth masking up again, but that’s likeyl unpossible.
or maybe serious trike actiuon will close schools?
META: this is a good example of how I make blog posted and capture my thoughts. 3 clicks on a web page gets the link to the article as a blog post here (15 seconds, mostly waiting for Press This! extension to do the login and make new post steps)). If a picture is linked, I squeeze it down to ~1/3rd of post width and set it to right-justify (TO-DO: there might be a setting to default to right-justy) (5 seconds). Then i add a seperatore and a new text block below; the idea is my thoughts are below the sepeartor line. this is done by typing 3 dahsses, wh=oich the block editor reformats as a seperator line (TO-DO: the default is 1/4 colum with or so, but I’d like it ot be full colume with, and maybe even include “below here is my thoughts”; probably configurable…) and then I press enter to make a new block (default is text bloxk) and press down cursor to put texting input into this new text block. (5 seonds_ then type away!
