Why Ukraine “grains” not shipping causes inflation here.?

while reading this story:

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/lebanese-buyer-rejects-first-batch-ukrainian-grain?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark

i thought of this, which might be useful for explaining why we’re seeing food costs increased here:

we see prices in creases in food when “grain” gets sparse (like when shipments are prevented from leaving Ukraine.
the poorer nations see no grain avasialble, leading to starvation, malnutrition, etc, wars as supplies run out, refugees as people move to try to find secure food.
even though thay ua grains is not intended for us. that ghrains is sold on the world market, so the world supply is reduced.

this is also a good post to show how an idea goes from my head to a blog post. and the use of the single-input “stream of counciosness” file I write everything I can into.

also, adding that we (north america, at least), uses grains proimarily as feedstocks to other foods cattlem pigs, chickens) or as super porocessed foods (hfcs, perhaps) even if that in and of itselfs is not bad?, or into fuel (corn -> ethonol, eg), i think I recently saw a graphic on this, or perhaps Dr. john’s recvent videos.

this is also an example of how I find and store stuff, aand also the curse of that storing and such… as I was looking for the graphic or chart for the 2nd abover para, as i broswed down the lisyt of recently dsaved files in downloads, i am both informed and distracted by all the pretty pictuirs…
