for the record, i recall my first d&d playing was with Don Tait, Tom Helmkay, and perhas HJohn Thompson. 1979ish, maybe 1980. i played a thief, perhaps elf or halfkling?. we defeasrted some troll or big ugly monster in a cave. 9i recall one of the terease s was a hhard chunck of cheese.
