so all I want to do is add a few of the restaunats in to to my “contacts”, so I have all the necessary details (phone#, hopefully hours, many a link to their menu, etc) on my mobile.
go to google maps, center on peterboerough, search “donair”
get lots of hits.
for each one, open the google maps listing for it by clickng th e pin or the card ot tyhe left side
always “save” to my restauurants list
then try to find a “add to my contacts” butto
no such thing exiusts
so google maps cannot send info to my google contacts? wtf?
maybe try the “send to phone” and then can do on phone?
send to specific device doesn’t work
send to my gmail aemail works
send to my phone as a SMS works.
BUT in both cases i just get a liunk to thge same web page I’m lookikng at.

best I can do is: create a new contact in another window, copy/paste the address (use the “copy” button to get it all.
BUT, the copy button on the address card copies the complete address, but contcts needs address as a single item, so all I can do is paste the whole address into one of the fields (street address), the cut/poaste city, cut/paste p[rovince, cut/paste postal code, 12 clicks and alittle bit of edioting and i’ve fgot the addreess in; back to google maps to get the phone#, copy with button, paste into contact phone field.
now the houers: back to maps, swipe acress all the hours, copy, paste into notes in conta cts (nice how there’s a “copy” button for eac day, so you could do a copy/paste 7x to get the full week; kluckily the swipe/copy/paste works, but the pasted version is uggo, so a little pit of editing (~32 keysrokes later, i gave up counting), but theyy’re listed in Wed..Tue order (since google mpas is showing my tonight at the beginning (wed). but it wopulfd be better tyo be monday or syunday styart; so a little more cut/paste puts init mon-sun order.
now do the website: copy paste from gmaps to webesite field f contsxctss./

but that should be a one click on the maps card
now repoeat for each restaurenet i want to have on my phone.
~5 minutes to add a contact. fucking horribl;e. no wonder no one does this.
