i like to think no plastic I have used has entered the oceans, at least since I can remember. I have never let apiece of plastic go anywhere but a garbage can opr a recycle bin. in which case it should be in the ground, in a bale, or burnt by now.
of course i exaggerate. but it does look to me from this map, and my experience in the rest of the world i’ve been to, that there are some low-hanging fruits here.
even if all we did was bury plastics in the ground, it would not be in the ocean. dig big holes, drop shit in it.
