can’t be a time machine invented in the future; if there was, we would have a history with no major catastrophes. TTs would have gone back to prevent, or otherwise alter, horrific events (kill Hitler, prevent the Arch-Duke Whats-his-name assasintation = no WW1, etc.); this idea is probably not new…
