Excellent video! My best Renishaw probe story… a careless operator cracked the glass body on a TS-27R probe. Still worked, accuracy wasn’t noticeably affected, and a replacement probe was a few weeks away. But the humidity (this was in India) would seep inside the body, condense on the inside surface of the glass, and could eventually cause problems with the electronics. So I had someone provide a condom; poked a hole in the tip, rolled that sucker on, problem solved! We used that probe for at least 6 months, replacing it every few weeks as required.
