siriusxm web player recently seems to be causing high cpu usage (in chrome task manager, can be 30% or higher), and the audio is ometimes jerky stuttering; killing that tab in chrome task maanger reduces overall load; this seems new.
for instance, playing a channel, going to settings and nav the menus is very slow, 3 to 5 seconds to change menu; on way back to library, song playing stuttered a few times.; killing the tab and restarting reduces the load and then moving thru menus in the settings is fast as expected; version:
2024-04-25-14-01-20 – siriusxm rant about how I have to use a screen snipping program (greenshot) to find more music by an band playing right now. a song (Destryer by Lotus) caught my attention, so I immediately tok a screen snip. But why do I have to do this? here i am on a fiber-connected pc listening to music in a wb broweser tab, and I essentially have to take a photgraph of the screen to later find more music by theis artisit. where the fuck is the “share buttoin” where is the “like” button? same problem with the app on mobile or tablwet.
exact same issue with bell web player, or even their apps or their players or app on other device (like Roku)?
2024-04-29 – siriusxm – looks like they’ve stopped moving the icons around as each channel is played; was very annoying. and looks like both “my Live” and “All Epiosodesz”? cards are no longer forced as 1st 2 of my library (used to be favorites, dammit!
was going to compaion about not able to move cards around, but discoveered the new “Edit Library” button; does the needful.
now ai just need a smalled version, or just scale better with browser’s zoom keys
oooooh! chomre’s zoom works better now; at 67% zoom, get 4 rows of 6 cards = 24 cards! woohoo!
all readable on my right side mointor, woth chrome in a ~1/2 height x ~80% width window. very nice
just need to move things around and then lock it down.
2024-05-03 – was going t post a quick rant about the freq that the revivilists song “i wish i knew you when you were young”, at least 5 times a day, in the subreddit /r/siriusxm

\ I’ve fetch about SiriusXM they have at least now allowed us edit the library so I’ve been able to move the two my episodes and I really visit my episodes and new episodes I can I can move the ones that aren’t my favorites out of the top two rows further reminding me that the icons are far too large I can only get 8 cards or stations on the screen with 1/2 size window to my right I used to be able to get 16 easily so that’s a definite downgrade with the new interface also the the most last played channel will move itself up to the upper left corner or top row that causes them to switch around to move around randomly essentially as you choose different stations the these things should be fixed these stations should be fixed where I put them perhaps they need to input a pin or some sort of thing like that but it’s the worst thing you can do is start moving around things that somebody is organizing like 2 nice rows or before 4 nice rows of all their possible favorite stations and stays in the exact same location they were easy to find now I get a search for them because they’d move around as I slack them done
siriusxm web player should allow me to create playliasts and favorites in the browser, like can be done with videos in youtube.
siriusxm new player – make pressing the ccard/icon play/pause, not “go to this channels full diusplay. more often then not i just want to prpause play. the larger eiasier action should be the whole card.
siriusxm web player had fixed one issue: was getting artist/song under each icon ; but after a page refresh, no longer getting this.
new issue: zooming works weird, only zoomes tehe top, lkeft-side and bottom frames? but icons/cards keep sam sze, so almost looks like the zoom +- are reversed. regardless, seems wrong and doesn’t do anything to increase the number of cards/icons I can see (old verisoon could fit 16
and “new episodes” and “Your eposiodes” are NOT my favoiets, so why am I seeing them on the favorites 9N(now libray) screen?

SiriusXM new web player seems to be re-arranging the cards/stations, maybe?; pretty sure jam on was on top row yesterday. if this is the case, stop that. confirmed; but is it always happening? not on just starting to play; real jazz playing, it’s now 3rd from left on top row, the highest it can be (due to “New episodes” and “Your episodes” to consume the 1st & 2nd left cards, see next), but if I start another channel playing, nothing changes until I do a page refresh or go to channel and return to favorites Library. NEVER MOVE THE CARDS!!!
Also, previously could re-arrange cards by drag & drop in the web page, which was awesome. This is as bad as when MS did the “Personalized menus” in Office suite, hiding recently used menu entries and shuffling the menu order; just terrible.
where is favorites? i had my favortires organized(now called “Library”)- can’t see what’s playing on the other channels like before.

I don’t want the “New episodes” and “Your episodes” to consume the 1st & 2nd left cards on the top line of my favorites Library.
the old version would start playing the song I click on FROM THE BEGINNING. So not only I knew what I was switching to, the song would start from the beginning. The new version no longer does this; instead, it plays from wherever the live version is at. This is a very sad change.
the pause button is not obvious (it’s the animated 3-bar bar graph meter thing that replaces the play triangle. just use the internationally, universally understood, two parallel line pause (⏸️) or the pause/play (⏯️) symbol. ffs.
SiriusXM web player would be nice if sound faded out and back in on changing stations; right now it’s a hard stop & start.

also has other complaints, 4 total. (this is from old version pre-2023-12-14~), but I think all 4 of these apply to new version.
clicking on a card doesn’t start playing that channel, must hit the little play button ( 
) clicking a card/station/icon opened that channel in the player.
If I push ( ) button on one of the “more like this” cards (must scroll down to see them), that channel starts playing, but the main screen is still suggesting I’m listening to Jam On; I can see that Widespread Panic is playing something (bottom of screen), but a quick glance suggests Jam On is selected (which is also playing a Widespread Panic song “Red Hot Mama”). This shows that the meta data (artist / album / song) is indeed available like it was in the old version, but is only visible on this screen.

SiriusXM – missing a “share” or “save this to my favorites” when listening to a song. I OFTEN want to send a note to myself when i hear a song I really like, or share it to a friend. Get with the program, SiriusXM, I can understand no share function in the car, but on a PC, phone, tablet with Internect connection, there is no good reason for not having a “Share” function.

2023-10-03 – must comopplain about how jam on is getting way to repetative, and wtf is it with the revivalists and “I wish I know yyou” song, fucking 3 times or more per day.
2021-11-01 – siriusxm needs a gentler drop off in volume on pressing pause. and same on restarting. most pllayers seem a little gentler. sxm seems to be a hard stop, volume-wise.
2021-10-21 – anoither cool thing about yusing web siriusxm is picking songs from the tiles; eg, first open website, typically showws 4×4 grid of my faves. with at-the-moment=- playing songs injmclufong accurat einfo on commericials (CNN., foir instancre.); so i press tile to with the song i want. and i think almost always, that song will start from the beginning; must be receiving all my favorite channels in the data stream from sxm, but home long does this work? and for every ystation? or just favborites?
2021-??-?? – SiriusXM: web page, paused, go to other Chorome window (or anything else; watch an YT. finish YT video. want to restart RealJazz, sop click on itt’s =tile in Chrome window. nothing. press again (perhassp first click is discarded or otherwise not sent to the Chrome inseance, since it shoudl just select trhe Chrome window; regardless,m a 2nd, 3rd and many more clickls on the Real jazz tile makes it start playing. BUT!! a s cxlick on the any other tile causes that tile to start playting.
there are other times the play/pause state of web page view is inconsistannt. might just be this
2021-??-?? – SiriusXM is almost the “all my stations all the time” digial music player i want. just need to add a few more features:
– genre mixer slkiders for each genre, so sliding one slider up 10% brings all the rest down 10%/# of genres”. so I can tell therandomizer to play 70 rock, 30% jazz, 5 any other.
– lust allow 3 or 4 sonds once a gener is selected. once into jazz, I want to hear # additioonal jazz tumes to follow, then back to shuffle.
– all for 2-fer and 3-fer mode
– auto-linkear by track play if the 1st track of an album or other collection is played in shuffle mode; perhaps ask to switch,

Also, the play bar and the tiles don’t matchh. Government Mule was playing, but Khruangbin/Leon… “Texas Sun” is showing in the tile.
2021-??-?? – SiriusXM: a click on one of my Favorites should start playing. Right now I have to push the play button. Also, a click on the volume indicator should mute/unmute. having to click the “MUTE” label is annoying. Also, auto-expand the volume slider, or just make it direcgtly controllable.
