Does the US armed forces not know how to destroy things?
I have read that most of this equipment was never the top-line stuff the US uses; 1st gen Humvees, for instance, that are being rotated out of service after 30 years of use.
Also, this article, or at least the $85B figure is from a (R) congresscritter, so likely to be inflated.
