Although probably beyond my grasp, the papers<\/a> mentioned in the article are likely interesting… just skip the hard parts! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Also, this explains<\/a> the detector.\u00a0 Fascinating!\u00a0 Wonder if same as the one in Sudbury?\u00a0 Not so much in specific construction, but capability?\u00a0 Could SNO have detected this?<\/p>\n

Also: “The observatory is set to get an upgrade during the 2022 and 2023 Antarctica seasons, pandemic notwithstanding, which should increase the number of neutrino detections by a factor of 10.”<\/p>\n

Will this make the detector more sensitive (find more neutrinos?), more accurate-in-locating-origin, or both?<\/p>\n
