Dept. &#8211; Car and Driver<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>From this ^ article I get the sense my Jeeps have been using the starter motor.\u00a0 But this is 2011, so maybe wrong?<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, starter is used.\u00a0 But parts like battery, starter, etc. are &#8220;stronger&#8221; to handle.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the battery not capable.\u00a0 Jeep2016&#8217;s battery died &lt;3 months after warranty expired (36 months).<\/p>\n<p>TO-DO: must have battery tested before warranty expires.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Engine stop\/start systems are spreading from hybrids to normal cars.
