i had already sent an email to joan with a few ideas, but i didn&#8217;t want to share that email with paul <span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id6ad3b53fc1e13\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\"why not?\"    >why not?<\/span><div id=\"target-id6ad3b53fc1e13\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">email is the wrong tool for this sort of thing; people forget to reply all, so the info becomes fragmented; on bigger groups eventually the chain gets unwieldy, many don&#8217;t care for all the alerts, etc. by being here on this blog it&#8217;s one version, updatable by comments (or direct editing if i decide to allow that; i own <\/div> so i started to type the thing in messages <span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id6ad3b53fc1e44\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\"\"    ><\/span><div id=\"target-id6ad3b53fc1e44\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">not messenger<\/div> ;
