same problem has existed for a long time. press the accelerator while thinking you’re on the brake leads to a positive feedback loop (“wtf, car’s going fwd, so I press harder on the brake, goes faster, I press brake harder…”). cf: “Junk Science in the Courtroom<\/a>” on the chapter about same sort of issue with Audi?BMW?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

seems to me tere should be something like “fwd motion detected, moderate collision detected, cut power” might be possible. or make loud vroom vroom sound inside car when such happens<\/p>\n\n\n\n

also, how is it that he wass jamming the acc pedal (this should be knowble given the ability to measure everything) in a suv yet only moving 15kmph might trigger some osrt of power limiting. somethign ain’t right, so… i mean, I used to setup machine that could detect a minor collision of a 20-tonne bridge and have it come to an instant stop, and that was 10+ yearws ago,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
