Absolutely.<br>KRISTEN WELKER: The 14th Amendment, though, says that, quote, \u201cAll persons born in the United States are citizens.\u201d<br>PRESIDENT-ELECT DONALD TRUMP: Yeah.<br>KRISTEN WELKER: Can you get around the 14th Amendment with an executive action?<br>PRESIDENT-ELECT DONALD TRUMP: Well, we\u2019re going to have to get it changed. We\u2019ll maybe have to go back to the people. But we have to end it. <strong>We\u2019re the only country that has it, you know.<\/strong><br>KRISTEN WELKER: Through an executive action? You\u2019re going to \u2014<br>PRESIDENT-ELECT DONALD TRUMP: <strong>You know we\u2019re the only country that has it.<\/strong> Do you know if somebody sets a foot, just a foot, one foot, you don\u2019t need two, on our land, \u201cCongratulations you are now a citizen of the United States of America.\u201d Yes, we\u2019re going to end that because it\u2019s ridiculous.<br>KRISTEN WELKER: Through executive action?<br>PRESIDENT-ELECT DONALD TRUMP: Do you know \u2014 well, if we can, through executive action. I was going to do it through executive action but then we had to fix COVID first, to be honest with you. We have to end it. It\u2019s ridiculous. <strong>Do you know we\u2019re the only country in the world that has it?<\/strong> Do you know that? <strong>There\u2019s not one other country<\/strong>.<br>KRISTEN WELKER: Well, what about the legal challenge, the inevitable legal challenges that will come?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>as usual, she doesn&#8217;t push back on the lies.  as usual, tfg just lies, repeats the lies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>it can&#8217;t be changed by an executive order, since it&#8217;s in the constitution.  would require a constitutional amendment, therefor supermajority in both houses + 3\/4 of the stats to ratify.  of course he&#8217;s too stupid to know that.  and ultimately it doesn&#8217;t matter, since to ensure the chaos continues, he&#8217;ll do the e.o., then let the courts fight it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>here&#8217;s the BBC on a famous user of lies: &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/future\/article\/20161026-how-liars-create-the-illusion-of-truth\" target=\"_blank\">Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>here&#8217;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jus_soli\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wikipedia entry on birthright citizenship<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>and of course, this is a racist policy &#8211; he&#8217;s proposing to end it for &#8220;them&#8221;, but not for white folk (from the non-shithole countries).  otherwise how does one become a citizen then?
