tl;dr: one of 6 strongest El Ni\u00f1o<\/a> on record; will cause bigger problems than usual; will run out of steam quickly, so La Ni\u00f1a<\/a> expected by fall (fer sure), maybe even ~summer 2024?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

META: this is an example of how I use this blog as a “2nd brain”. Surely I can just lookup these weather events, but I see value in having a place where I can add my thoights, others can add theier thoughts, and what I keep here is what I know is worth having; this is of course, also an echo chamber of my own thoughts. furthermore, instead of having to remember or search for this on my pc, i know it’s in my 2nd brain, and the tagging allows me to locate similar articles, shown as a list of posts, surfaces other things related to weather, etc. which remeoind me I want to make a much denser list of results from the tag seaarch list of results. probs need to ask on the forums, or mabe reddit?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
