{"id":22590,"date":"2022-10-07T23:17:49","date_gmt":"2022-10-08T03:17:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ckms.ca\/?p=22590"},"modified":"2022-10-07T23:59:57","modified_gmt":"2022-10-08T03:59:57","slug":"recycling-plastic-into-building-blocks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.ckms.ca\/?p=22590","title":{"rendered":"recycling plastic into building blocks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>TO-DO:  needs sketch of basic processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TO-DO: reference the old mad magazine dog turds in clear plasiutc bricks.  don&#8217;t i have an archive of the complete mad magazines?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>of course, this has likely already been tried and failed for all the usual reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>plastic recycling into building bricks.<br>minecrafters will get it<br>shred pe4llatize all hardish plastics, everythign but<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>idea is originally from watching the hydraulic press channel when they squashed some foods (cerals, granoal, etc) with poor results ex. the granoala.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>then the bnext one was on crusinhg paper into solid blocks.  likely adding awater or a simple thin glue muight make solid enough<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>for the plastuic, any hardish plastic, pretty much anythiung pelletable flackable, no films, no bakelite hardness.  this eleimantes the very expens of sorting into differnt types,. since we&#8217;re not making new resin or new plastic, a reassonable random ixingute mixture might work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>perhaps heated press could do the trick?>  or glues, solvents, something that will bind and perhaps set at reasonable tmeps, yierld solid blocks that can thnen be used for things.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>the skills of the current generatiopn of minecrafters will undertnand this potentiual.  with enopugh blocks of brick size, anything can be created.  well, not everything.  mumble mumble a map of the world is the world?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TO-DO: needs sketch of basic processes.
